Where can I find Denver's best Christmas light displays this year? Nothing can get you in the Holiday Spirit quicker than Christmas lights. In Denver, we are very lucky to have some terrific privately decorated homes in every neighborhood of Denver and also some fabulous public light displays around town to bring out the child in you. And apparently everyone loves them considering my blog on Christmas lights last year was my most read blog of 2010.
This year, Denver is bringing it once again. Simply click on the name of the event for more information and hope you enjoy.
Every tour of Holiday lights starts with the Civic Center light display. Lights come on at 5:45 every day except Sunday and turn off at 10:45 pm. Sunday lights will be turned off for pictures. Denver Botanic Gardens always offers amazing displays in the city with Blossom of Lights and down south with Trail of Lights at Chatfield. Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo is always a fun outing, especially with the kids.
New this year is the Winter Wonderlights at the Wildlife Experience. And keeping with the animal theme, check out Living Lights at the Butterfly Pavilion. Downtown, another first year event is Lodo Aglow and is great if you are looking for a city theme.
There are plenty of homeowners around the city that go all out this time of year. For a list of the best houses to view, click here. And I would love to see pictures of your house or your favorites, so please feel free to post.
