Dinner Co-Op Creates Cool Neighborhoods

Community building starts one household at a time. Anyone can create a cool community vibe by doing a little neighbor outreach. One of the best ideas I've heard recently, is to create a dinner co-op. Lets say you have four families or couples on your block: each family cooks enough to feed an army once a week, then pulls out the Tupperware and distributes the meal to the neighbors in the dinner co-op. Every household gets a home cooked meal four days a week and they only cook once. If you decide to create a dinner co-op you may want to create a rating list to help avoid the dishes no-one likes and an allergy/dietary restriction check list, before starting. Dinners can be pots of soup, marinated meats ready for the grill, curries or casseroles.
