Halloween in the Highlands: A guide to a Haunted Highlands Halloween.

Posted by Mic Ortega on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 at 1:20pm.

What Halloween events are there in the Highlands this year? If you live in Highlands or are coming for a visit, then you are in luck. The next two weeks hold plenty of great events to get you in the Halloween spirit whether you are young or old. Below are some of my favorites and if you know of more, please let me know so I can add it to the list. And for more information, click on the event.

3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest:  Sunday October 24th at 2 pm head over to Little Man Ice Cream for their 3rd annual Pumpkin Carving Contest.  Enjoy live music, food, bouncy castle and prizes for the best pumpkins.

Trick or Treat Street Tennyson:  Saturday, October 29th from 10 to 2 businesses along Tennyson will be handing out candy and offering Halloween specials to Trick or Treaters and their families.  Come in your best costume, it is always a great time.

4th Annual Highland Haunt: Saturday October 29th from 11-3 along 32nd Ave from Clay to Zuni.  Highland Haunt is Northwest Denver’s only Halloween celebration closed to auto traffic, so all participants are free to safely roam and enjoy the day’s activities.  Free activities will include trick or treating, a horse drawn hayride,  pumpkin patch, costume parade and contest, live music, kids crafts and games, vendors and more!

Adams Mystery Playhouse: Three slightly-scary and very fun interactive mystery shows where YOU and the Ghost of Leopold Adams solve his own murder!  Sat Oct 22nd 1-2:30, Sat Oct 29th 10:30-Noon and 1-2:30.  All shows are $10 per person.

Trick or Treat Street Highland Square: Sunday, October 30th from 12 to 2.  Bring the kids in their best costumes for candy, hay rides, pumpkin patch photo area and face painting.  Between Julian and Perry on 32nd.
