Denver’s First Pop Up Park! The Square on 21st

New Things to do in Denver

Pop Up restaurants and shops have maintained their chic-mystique over the past several years. But, ahead-of-the-cool-curve-Denver has taken the concept several steps further with a pop up park! The Square on 21st spans 21st street from Larimer to Lawrence (The Ballpark Block) and will be entertaining Denverites until August 15th, 2017 from 7am to 11pm, daily. Mayor Hancock explained the new project - a partnership with Denver’s Department of Public Works, upon its July opening, “Our parks bring neighbors together, and this new public space will allow the community to spend time outdoors and experience our vibrant downtown in new ways.”

Happy PrideFest 2017, Denver! We have a lot to celebrate - after all,  Denver’s first Pride Parade dates all the way back to 1976 and the city boasts an inclusive atmosphere throughout its neighborhoods, an environment that has slowly evolved over years of social progress. In honor of Denver PrideFest 2017, Live Urban Real Estate’s Live Proud has uncovered some juicy gay real estate information.

This month, Trulia cross referenced U.S. Census Data and OkCupid’s available dating information. What they discovered was quite interesting… neighborhoods with high “pride scores” (a zip code in which a comparatively high percentage of gay singles and couples live) tend to sell real estate at a higher cost per square foot: $86 more per square foot than

A true “home:” however, is a much different story. The form of the house never matters as much as what goes inside (and outside) – because those are the people and special things that transform any space into a home.

From thrift stores to antique shops to architectural salvage yards, Denver is a great place to shop for
