A California native who moved to Denver in 2004 after living the previous 11 years in New England, Jeff took a creative path to becoming a real estate agent. His parents and three older brothers all built and sometimes even designed their own homes. Along the way they built several spec (ready to sell) houses. While other students spent holidays and weeks like spring break going to Disneyland or Mexico, he often stayed behind to help frame, drywall, and/or provide whatever assistance was needed with the current project. Professionally Jeff went on to work in higher education administration for 32 years, eventually becoming a university dean. Working with students, faculty, and staff, his interests and knowledge base also meant Jeff was never too far from housing and real estate. This meant providing university oversight of student and faculty residences, including purchasing, renovating, and managing residential units from single family homes to large scale multi-unit buildings. While in higher education, Jeff would often lend a hand as family and friends negotiated the landscape of purchasing, building, renovating or selling a home. This period included Jeff and his wife working with a builder in 2005 as they built their current home. Recently Jeff decided it was time to move on from full time work in higher education, qualifying for his real estate license and helping others find their dream home.
Jeff, also known as Dr. Ederer, has served on several nonprofit, educational, and community-based boards; spoken at conferences; lobbied at congress in Washington DC on items of human interest from hunger relief in sub-saharan Africa to increased access to Pell Grants for lower-income college students; and still serves as a trainer and consultant in educational, non-profit, and corporate settings. Jeff and his wife Lori’s professional and personal interests have taken them around the world, traveling to all 50 states and over 60 countries on six continents. This includes Jeff leading several student educational trips to Africa, Asia, Europe, and Central America. Jeff sees these experiences as a good teacher for how to relate and listen to a broad range of clients who can use a little help negotiating the many challenges present in the process selling at the right time as well as buying a place they’ll love!
